WHM and Sports Performance

I contacted my colleague Dr. Nils Gatzmaga, who is a sports psychologist and a WHM instructor based in Leipzig, Germany. The topic of the conversation was the integration of the WHM into an athletes life in order to boost the performance, help one relax, stay focused and balanced.

Have a nice watch! Also - a bonus: Nils' practical advice for active people:

When you want to clear your mind off worries and negative thoughts before/after competition, you can do a soft version of basic WHM breathing. If you are under activated and you want to rise your activity, you can do a (short!) power breathing. If you want to improve your CO2 tolerance and therefore efficient use of O2 for better performance, go with nose breathing and Buteyko training. It's like high altitude training without being in the mountains.
And finally. Knowledge is nothing when you don't apply. Make your own experiences, try it out for a while to see what suits and how you can regulate to reach specific states and effects.
